Bajaj Auto reports 18% rise in March sales

Bajaj Auto has registered a rise of 18% in total sales to 393,351 units in March 2019 against 334,348 units in March 2018. The company’s total exports out of the above stood at 134,166 units, registering a marginal gain of 3% as compared to 130,748 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The sales of the motorcycles increased by 20% and stood at 323,538 units in the month under review against 269,939 units in March 2018. The company has reported 8% growth in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 69,813 units as compared to 64,409 units in month of March 2018.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
