10th Apr 2019

Adani Enterprises has won a key environmental approval for its groundwater management plan to construct a thermal coal mine and rail infrastructure project in Australia. The company wants to develop the Carmichael coal deposit in Queensland state but has faced tough environmental resistance.

The project still needs nine further approvals from the Federal and Queensland state governments before mining can start.

Adani Enterprises is an infrastructure company. The company is engaged in coal trading, coal mining, oil and gas exploration, ports, multimodal logistics, power generation and transmission, and gas distribution.
