Tata Motors shuts operations in some blocks at Pune plant

Tata Motors has declared a three-day block closure at its Pimpri Chinchwad (Pune) plant. This is not a complete shutdown, but block closure where some blocks will stop operations for three days while others will continue to operate.

The company has communicated to employees that it will shut operations in some blocks from August 8 to August 10 for maintenance and also because of low production.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
