HDFC planning to raise Rs 45,000 crore via NCDs

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) is planning to raise funds through issuance of secured redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs), in various tranches, aggregating Rs 45,000 crore on a private placement basis. The company will seek approval of shareholders in its upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) to be held on July 30, 2020.

HDFC offers a whole gamut of products like loans to individuals, loans to corporates, construction finance, and lease rental discounting. The financial conglomerate has subsidiaries and associates in insurance (general and life), asset management, education finance, venture funds and banking services.
