Ashok Leyland reports 31% fall in August sales

Ashok Leyland has reported sales figures for the month of August 2020. The company has reported 31% fall in sales (domestic + exports) during August 2020 at 6325 units as against 9230 units in August 2019. LCV sales were down 4% Y-o-Y at 3736 units in August 2020 as against 3882 units in August 2019. M&HCV Trucks and bus sales stood at 2276 units and 313 units, respectively. 

Domestic sales declined 30% Y-o-Y in August 2020 to 5824 units as compared to 8295 units in August 2019. Domestic LCV sales dropped 3% Y-o-Y to 3602 units, as compared to 3711 units in August 2019.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
