ONGC to soon resume operations in Hazira Plant after fire
25th Sep 2020

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Hazira Gas Processing Plant fire has been extinguished. All efforts are being made to resume normal operations in the plant at the earliest. The fire was observed due to leakage of gas from a gas pipeline. On the first signs of gas leak and fire, Emergency Shutdown actuators were immediately activated and Plant was shut down.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
